The office potluck - a gathering that definitely brings people together especially when you've got a bunch of serious foodies cooking in the kitchen. This week we're talking about Gatherings a new book by Julie van Rosendaal and Jan Scott, you definitely want to check this out.

Have you heard of Rosie Daykin and/or Butter Baked Goods in Vancouver? I hadn't until a couple weeks ago when on a recent trip to Vancouver I was introduced to Rosie and her sweet treats and boy oh boy are they good. Check out my review of Rosie's book and drool over my pics of the Twice-a-Week morning glory muffins.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to Earls on King Street for a preview of their fall menu, which will be rolled across most restaurants in October and November. It was an incredible evening filled with lots to eat and drink, and best of all I got to talk to the chef's who were responsible for bringing these creations to us. What a fun evening!

So here are my thoughts...

One of my other favourite things about summer is the number of farmer's markets that pop up around town. I love to wander though the aisles and pick up freshly picked fruits and veggies and get inspirations for new dishes to make/and or try. Here are a couple of tips that I've picked up from my years of farmers market shopping.
